The one US number source platforms still treat as a real phone
Push an Uber, Tinder, or marketplace verification code at a Twilio, Plivo, or TextNow number and the platform rejects it as VoIP almost instantly. Route the same code through Google Voice and it clears. The reason is structural: GV traffic moves over genuine cellular SS7 gateways and presents a normal consumer caller-ID footprint, so every consumer platform we have tested files these numbers under “cellular.” That single classification is why SMS outreach funnels, dating-app verification flows, and marketplace seller onboarding all still run on Google Voice in 2026 — it is the cheapest US number that fraud filters wave through.
Inside every delivery
- A US number assigned directly by Google Voice — no reseller relay in the chain
- The Gmail login underneath, with full credentials, for 2FA, recovery, and SMS-to-email routing
- Two-way SMS functional on arrival
- Voicemail plus transcription already enabled
- Forwarding set to whatever number you specify
- State/area-code selection once an order reaches 50 units
Why the Gmail underneath decides everything
Budget sellers bolt a brand-new Voice number onto a day-old Gmail, and Google’s filters flag the pair as a unit — those fleets rarely see day 14. We do it differently: the standard tier ships on a Gmail that has already existed for a week, and the aged tier rides on a 30-day-old Gmail. Under sustained daily SMS traffic, that older foundation is the difference between a fleet that holds and one that bleeds port suspensions.
Matching a tier to the job
- USA Mix — $4.50. Whatever area codes stock holds. Right choice for amplification work and throwaway verification.
- USA Fresh — $6. The default pick for most buyers; ships from live inventory.
- USA Targeted Area Code — $7.50. Exact state or code on request (212, 305, 415…), 50-unit minimum. Non-negotiable when your sender geography has to look local.
- USA Aged 30-Day+ — $8.50. A month of history plus the aged Gmail base. Built for campaigns measured in quarters, not days.
One data point worth knowing if you port numbers off GV afterward: aged-tier numbers clear the port-out review better than 90% of the time, while fresh-tier numbers clear it about 65%.
Running 50+ numbers without burning them
- Geography first. Each account gets its own residential IP, located in the number’s home state — a Texas number logging in from a UK address invites an immediate port-suspension review.
- One fingerprint each. Anti-detect profiles or emulator instances, never a shared device across the fleet.
- Inbound only for week one. Google’s published Voice abuse signals put outbound texting in the first 7 days at 3–4× the flag risk.
- Send from where you claim to be. A 415 number pushing Texas traffic looks wrong to recipients and to Google’s behavioral filter simultaneously.
- Age the Gmail for long runs. Campaigns stretching past 30 days should sit on the aged tier — fresh pairings get downweighted by the freshness-cluster filter.
- Leave recovery settings alone for a month. Ripping out the recovery email on day one reads as abuse intent.
- Stagger any port-outs across 30 days. Fifty port requests in an hour trips the bulk-port filter; the same fifty spread over a month sail through.
- Price in attrition. Even flawless operations lose 5–10% of a fleet in the first month — budget for it up front.
